Joining Acquia!

I have joined Acquia! I am excited to be joining Acquia for two reasons: 1. I have never joined a startup before, and I cannot think of a better opportunity to work with a group of smart and dedicated people; 2. the vast majority of my work so far has been spent developing proprietary software and I see this as a tremendous opportunity to spend more time with open source software.

I am coming from Openwave Systems, Inc. where I spent most of my time working on the JavaScript front end of a highly scalable email system. I hope to bring the expertise I developed at Openwave to the Drupal community.

Welcome Paul! :)

Paul is being modest.

When we interviewed him, we all without reservation said "This guy is great; we need to hire him fast."

He blew us away with his level of Javascript expertise - knowing what's possible, but more importantly he knew its technical idiosyncrasies _cold_. We think he'll be able to contribute a ton of Javascript expertise to the Drupal community (once he gets his arms around Drupal - which we don't think will take long, he's such a smart guy.) I know I personally look forward to seeing how he can help the community unpage Drupal.

Welcome, Paul.

Paul has wasted no time, and despite being new to Drupal, already has his name on a core patch: http://drupal.org/cvs?commi t=116422

Way to go Paul!

I took a look at "Openwave Systems, Inc" and some of their products, pretty sexy JavaScript work, looking forward to seeing your contributions.
