Hola Drupal!

Are you based in Costa Rica? Know someone who'd like to find out about Drupal? Send them to the free "Hello Drupal" at the end of this month in Costa Rica with Anexus IT. And keep an eye on our Drupal training calendar for events in your area.

Un montón de eventos

There has been such a great amount of activity and growth in Central and South America recently. Our partners, SeeD Co have been holding regular training in Columbia, both public training and private. They even did a livestream of a recent Hello Drupal event. Anexus IT recently held a Drupal Ladder contributor sprint with 10 new contributors learning how to write patches to the Drupal project.

Anexus IT have posted a full list of camps and summits planned for the upcoming months in Peru, Panama, Columbia, Guatemala, Bolivia, Ecuador and Mexico. Of course, including their "Hello Drupal" event at the end of this month in Costa Rica.

So we can see there is certainly quite a lot of activity and growth in the community in Central and South America!

Just wanted to say... I can only imagine how disappointed the volunteers for São Paulo must have been that the conference has been cancelled. I met Fabiano Sant'Ana and José San Martin of Chuva (probably two of the friendliest people in the Drupal community) many years ago when they dreamt of a big event in South America one day. And one day, that big event will happen. Maybe not in São Paulo in 2012, but soon. To build up that momentum, please help promote Drupal events in the region.
