Vigo's on watch to keep you alert
Do you remember the last time you felt tired or drowsy and your productively levels suffered? What if there was a piece of wearable technology that knew when you were tired before you did in order to make you as alert and productive as possible?
Meet Vigo, a wearable bluetooth piece that aims to do just that. I had the opportunity to talk to recent University of Pennsylvania grad and Vigo CEO Drew Karabinos about how he, and co-founders Jason Gui and Jonathan Kern took their senior design project and through a kickstarter, acceler8or program and four months in Shenzhen China, developed it into a prototype that they believe will improve the connection we have with our body.
Prescription frames for Glass
Google has just announced their line of frames, minus lenses, that fit onto the wearable computer Google Glass. These follow along with partner companies announcing the coming availability of complete prescription solutions.
Rochester Optical had previously announced their solution which is yet to ship but will include a selection of frame styles and lenses which mount on the existing Glass.
Student experiences Glass
A UCONN student, Mickey Ward, has had Glass for a few weeks now and has offered up his first impressions of life on campus with Glass. The reporter and Mickey do a really good job of explaining how Glass is different.
Retail CIOs Look to Break Online and Offline Shopping Barriers
The latest survey from retail technology provider "National Retail Federation and Demanware," shows that retail CIOs are looking to merge online and in-store shopping experiences for consumers.
