Google Plus & Drupal = Done.
I love Google+. I know some people are underwhelmed from all the hype. But I like it. It may or may not be for the fact I have some abnormal dislike of Facebook (which I do). But I just think it's better. Easier to manage “circles” of all my different friends, family, co-workers, and strangers I meet in the street; easier to share photos (I already used Picasa); and just easier all around. It's the better way to social networking!

Regardless of my opinion, here’s the cool part - there are already modules in the Drupal.org community to integrate Google+ with your Drupal community website!
Exemplary of how the community can innovate faster than any proprietary software vendor, Drupal contributor rszrama states, “There is no public API for Google+ yet, but you can sign up to be notified as it is released. Without an API, we are limited in what we can do…” Not having a public API doesn't slow down community innovation!
As rszrama states, current functionality is limited, but the social network is only just over two weeks old (it was released June 28), and is in a limited field test stage. Even so, some claim there are going to be 20 Million users by this weekend.
So take Commons (for those not in the know, Commons = Acquia’s social business software for building community websites with Drupal), add your Twitter, Facebook, and now Google + links – and you have a complete social solution integrating all major social network channels.
Truly innovation at the speed of the web!
I’d like to see Jive do that. :-)
