Dev Desktop Selected as 2012 Trend Setting Product

Dev Desktop has been selected by KMWorld as a Trend-Setting Product of 2012. https://www.acquia.com/downloads This is a great honor for Acquia from this leading content management authority http://www.kmworld.com/ Last year, the Acquia Network made the KMWorld 2011 Trend Setting Product list as well.

This year, the list and related article on Dev Desktop will be featured in the September 2012 issue and online September 1st. We had some incredibly stiff and deserving competition this year. All told, more than 700 products were assessed by the KM World judging panel, which consists of editorial colleagues, analysts, system integrators, vendors themselves, line-of-business managers and users. According to KMWorld, all of the selected products demonstrate clearly identifiable technology breakthroughs that serve the vendors’ full spectrum of constituencies, especially their customers. So we are extremely grateful to have made it through this rigorous selection process.

So, if you don't know already, what is Dev Desktop? Glad you asked. Acquia Dev Desktop is a free package that installs Acquia Drupal on Windows and Mac OS X. It combines core Drupal with useful modules (Acquia Drupal) and the supporting software needed to run it ("AMP stack"). Sites maintained on Acquia Dev Desktop easily transfer to hosting providers, including Acquia Cloud. Dev Destop is the fastest way to Drupal! Check it out if you haven't already. A special thank you to KMWorld for bestowing this Trend Setting Product of the Year award honor upon us.
