Last week, Acquia was chosen as a 2011 winner of the TiE50 Awards, Silicon Valley's premier awards program. Acquia received the award in the Software/Cloud Computing category and was also chosen as one of the 50 most enterprising startups of 2011.

"Acquia is honored to be recognized as one of the leaders in the software and cloud computing market," said Tom Erickson. "Acquia has achieved record growth and momentum and this recognition is further proof of our progressive strategy and the increasing demand for our managed cloud platform and solutions."

The TiE brand is synonymous with entrepreneurship, and we are so excited and, as Tom says, honored to receive the award here at Acquia - especially following our recent announcement of our expanded cloud offerings! Acquia Dev Cloud is a self-service hosting platform targeted at professional developers running one or more sites on a single server instance. Acquia Dev Cloud is built on Acquia's proven cloud hosting platform that is currently serving more than 2.2 billion HTTP requests per month. "The TiE50 represent the best in entrepreneurship -- risk-taking yet pragmatic, visionary but market-aware, and a passion to be the best," according to Vish Mishra, President of TiE Silicon Valley. "We hold up companies such as Acquia as role models for any enterprise, big or small, established or being incubated, which aspires to success in a dynamic and demanding marketplace."

Acquia is excited about the future, and we will continue to meet increasing demand for our cloud platform and services head on with passion and innovation!
