Acquia Network Partners Accelerate the Value of Owning Drupal Websites – New Relic Announces Real User Monitoring
Acquia partnerships with service providers such as New Relic, accelerate the value of owning a Drupal website. In early 2011 Acquia added Acquia Network partner Mobify to improve our customer’s mobile presence, Visual Website Optimizer to improve their conversions, and New Relic to improve performance monitoring. There was little reason for Acquia’s engineering resources to be spread thin creating products for all three categories. Instead, we chose to focus our team’s efforts solely on Drupal related projects, and developed these partnerships to provide our customers with specific value added services for their Drupal sites.
I believe the model of bringing in partners to provide specific services is much more efficient than developing them in house. Our partners are experts focused on solving specific problems. They accelerate the value of owning a Drupal site by simultaneously improving and developing complimentary products for the market which are then provided to our customers via the Acquia Network.
Yesterday this theory panned true when our partner New Relic announced a new service that provides site owners with real user monitoring. The new feature, available to Acquia Network subscribers, empowers website owners to gain valuable insight into the actual experience users have on their website.
New Relic’s service enables application developers to spend less time hypothesizing application usability testing tactics, and more time analyzing real data and improving their applications. Combine real user monitoring with Acquia’s cloud services such as 24/7 Drupal support, and remote administration to keep Drupal sites secure and up to date, site owners/managers now have their IT resources free to continually develop new features and improve their customer’s experience vs. spending time in meetings and maintaining the current status of their site.
No need to re-invent the wheel and dive into specifics with this blog post but I wanted to share the New Relic announcement video through the Acquia Blog. Watch the video, and then sign up and get started with the Acquia Network.
